What a season at Evergreen Speedway!
If you have followed Macaroni KID for a while, you probably already know my family spends a lot of time at race tracks. So having Evergreen Speedway right here in Monroe is pretty special to us.
It is also one of my favorite affordable things to recommend to local families. You don't have to know anything about racing to have fun there. Some nights it is traditional racing, other nights there are Figure 8s, buses, monster trucks or fireworks. And watching the kids pick their favorite car and cheer every time it comes around the track is half the fun.
With the regular 2026 season wrapped up, I wanted to take a minute to celebrate this year's champions and share a couple of things families might not know about getting kids involved at Evergreen.
🏆 Your 2026 Evergreen Speedway Champions
These drivers spent the season battling for points, and now they officially get to call themselves 2026 Evergreen Speedway champions. Congratulations!

One of My Favorite Affordable Family Nights
I talk a lot about affordable family fun, and Evergreen Speedway is honestly one of my family's favorites.
Kids 10 and under are free at most regular race nights, which makes a big difference when you're taking the whole family somewhere. Many of the regular 2026 race nights offered free admission for kids 10 and under, including championship nights and the Season End Spectacular.
Pack some ear protection for the kids, grab something to eat and settle in for the night. It is simple, it is fun and it is something our family genuinely looks forward to.
🏁 Have a Kid Who Loves the Races?
Make sure you check out the Evergreen Speedway Kids Crew.
It gives young race fans a way to be a little more involved when they come to the track, with activities, special Kids Crew perks and more throughout the season.
If Evergreen is already one of your family's favorite places, or you have a kid who is becoming a little race obsessed, this is definitely worth checking out.
🏎️ But What If They Want to RACE?
This is the part I think a lot of parents don't realize. Kids can actually start racing at Evergreen Speedway as young as 12.
Youth Hornets and INEX Legends both allow drivers to start at age 12. So if you have a kid sitting in the stands saying, "I want to do that someday," someday might be a little closer than you think.
If your kid is interested, I would start with Evergreen Speedway's website. You can find the current rules and information about the different divisions and learn more about what it takes to get started.
That's a Wrap on 2026!
Congratulations again to all of this year's champions and everyone who spent the season racing, working on cars, helping in the pits and cheering from the stands.
We had a lot of fun at Evergreen Speedway this year, and I already know my family will be back when racing gets going again.
Until then, keep an eye on Evergreen Speedway for off season events and what is coming in 2027!
