This Black History Month, immerse yourself in the vibrant intersection of fashion, music, and culture at The Bellevue Collection! From February 20 – March 9, The Bellevue Collection is teaming up with the Museum of Pop Culture (MOPOP) and local independent designer Olayinka Ola of Ayo Collections to bring stunning fashion installations and interactive experiences to Bellevue Square.
What to Expect
👗 Essence of the Peacock by Olayinka Ola – Explore a breathtaking collection of garments blending bold African patterns with peacock-inspired elegance, displayed in Bellevue Square’s Center Court. Ola, a Nigerian-born Seattle-based designer, has been featured at New York Fashion Week and Couture and Cars 2023.
🎶 MOPOP’s Icons of Style Exhibit – This interactive digital experience highlights the fashion influence of Black music legends, including Jimi Hendrix, Beyoncé, Cardi B, Lizzo, and Doja Cat. Learn how these artists have shaped global style through their iconic looks.
This free experience is available during Bellevue Square’s regular hours. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to celebrate Black creativity, history, and style!
