Are you seeking events tailored for children with sensory needs? The Pacific Science Center actively supports families requiring sensory assistance through the "Exploration for All" initiative. This program warmly welcomes families and individuals in search of sensory-friendly experiences to PacSci for a special free monthly visit, offering a unique opportunity to explore PacSci in a sensory-friendly environment.
During the event, guests can enjoy exhibits outside of regular public hours, immersed in a tranquil atmosphere with softened lighting, reduced noise levels, and minimized visual stimulation—all meticulously designed to meet the needs of families with sensory requirements. PacSci further enhances the experience by providing free sensory kits for check-out during the visit, including noise-canceling headphones, earplugs, various fidgets, sand timers, sunglasses, coloring activity books, and more. Visit the Guest Services Info Desk in Building 1 to get a complimentary kit!
Tickets are available at the entrance or can be conveniently reserved online. The dates announced for the monthly sensory-friendly experiences in 2024 are Jan 20, Feb 18, and Mar 16. You can find details about the event in our events calendar.
