Party Like a Princess at The Painted Palace

My review of The Royal Visit experience with Elsa and Moana!

By Katrina Cameron, The Eastside Macaroni Kid February 23, 2018

My daughter's first two birthdays were easy to plan because she had no preference or real understanding of what birthdays were. So when it came around to her 3rd birthday, I wanted to not only bring her family and friends together, but also blow her mind, which was exactly what The Painted Palace in Redmond Town Center did with their expertly executed princess party.

I never thought I'd have a little girl who loved princesses as much as she does, but she apparently wears the same princess dress from the pretend play bin at school every day! So I reached out to The Painted Palace and we got to planning. Planning it was actually very simple. All I had to decide on were the date, which of the five Seattle's Princesses Character Party Packages I was interested in, if I wanted any add-ons, and which princesses to have in attendance. My Princess Kate is a fan of any and all princesses, especially Elsa and Moana, so we requested both.

Since her party was around brunch, we ordered delicious treats from Hollywood Baked Goods, like Fruit Marshmallow Squares, Bourbon and Bacon Cupcakes, Zucchini Chocolate Chip Bread, and Almond Joy Scones, and conveniently picked up two Coffee Travelers from the Starbucks next door. Other than the food we catered, we brought utensils, plates, napkins, and cake plates to arrange the treats.

When we got there, we were welcomed by owners Elizabeth and Keith to a stunning party room. It was decked with tables and chairs covered in beautiful cloths, a special photo spot from under the sea, and a surprise enchanted mirror photo booth from CaptureGram Events. The magic mirror took the photo booth experience to a whole other level with its interactive capabilities that not only allows you to see yourself as photos are taken, but also signs and stamps your photo and even compliments you! The kids absolutely loved it and some could not be pried away.

Then when Elsa and Moana arrived, all the kids were stunned speechless, even the boys. Not only were their costumes on point, but these two women were wonderful actresses and never broke character no matter the situation. They also knew how to seamlessly transition from one activity to the next making it easy for the kids.

We got an extra surprise when Cinderella showed up for a photo opp! My daughter was in absolute heaven. Can't you tell?

Though I brought my own food, drinks, utensils, plates, and cake stands, which The Painted Palace has capacity to handle if I wanted them to as they have a commercial kitchen and all the supplies, I could not think of how this day could have gone any better. The Painted Palace is every princesses dream come true and every parents knight in shining armor.
