Fitting in an effective workout is not always the easiest thing to do when you're a busy mom with an even busier kid. Sometimes I think chasing her around is enough, but this post-baby bod is not like it used to be. My arms, legs, behind, and core are not as strong or as perky as it once was, but luckily there's Barre3 to hit every single one of these spots to make me sore (the good kind where you know you've had an amazing workout) and sweat!
Barre3 is a full body workout that incorporates pilates, yoga, and ballet barre to find balance, improve posture, and get stronger. This group fitness class is not a competitive one though the energy of everyone around you and the upbeat music fire you up to keep going and keep shaking for that deep muscle burn. No matter what your fitness level is, you do what works for you and your body, and modifications are provided if you need more of a challenge or have an injury. And though it is low-impact, your heart still races!
I wouldn't be able to feel all that and the happy endorphins if not for their onsite childcare at their Play Lounge, which is only $5 per class. My daughter loves all the toys and whoever is there to play with her! She always manages to find the princess slippers and the toy ice cream cones at the Issaquah Highlands location.
With locations also in Bellevue and Kirkland, I love taking classes with studio co-owner Heather Kass who has tough but motivating classes at Issaquah Highlands in Grand Ridge Plaza. Just when I am about to give up, she comes around to reassure me I can push through, and I do and it's always worth it! (This is coming from a person who feels the workout two days later!)

Not only will you get a killer workout, you can get an hour of time much needed time to refresh and refocus for a much more balanced day with your child having fun in a room right next door!
