Discover the Magic of Live Performance
From first steps on stage to full productions, Studio East gives kids and teens a place to create, perform and grow.
There is something pretty special about watching a child discover theatre.
Maybe it starts with singing around the house. Maybe they are constantly putting on shows in the living room. Maybe they love making up characters and stories. Or maybe they are a little quieter and just need the right place to discover what they can do.
At Studio East in Kirkland, there are opportunities for kids to explore performing arts at every step of that journey.

It can all start with one moment.
One step onto a stage or one peek behind the curtain can turn into years of music, monologues, dance combos and new skills. Studio East provides the opportunities. Kids bring the passion.
MAINSTAGE PRODUCTIONS
From auditions to curtains
For kids who are ready to experience what it is like to be part of a full production, Studio East's Mainstage program offers transformative performing arts experiences that take students through the process from auditions all the way to the final curtain.
The 2026/2027 season brings stage and screen together with another full lineup of performance opportunities for young actors.
THEATRE EDUCATION
Where play sparks creativity and training fuels long term goals
Not every kid is ready for a full production, and they don't have to be.
Studio East offers theatre education for kids at many different ages and experience levels. Kids can sing, act, dance, tell stories, build confidence and learn from both teaching artists and their peers.

There are lots of ways to jump in:
Seasonal Theatre Classes
Acting, singing, dancing, storytelling and more for ages 4 to 19.
Break Camps
Turn days off from school into a chance to create, perform and have fun.
Summer Camps
More opportunities to spend school break making friends, building skills and exploring theatre.
In School Programming
Studio East also brings performing arts education into local schools.
WHAT'S HAPPENING THIS FALL?
If your child is ready to give theatre a try now, Studio East's Fall 2026 classes are already underway and run through December 12.
Current offerings include acting, dance and imaginative theatre experiences, with classes such as Drama Bugs: Bluey and Friends, Acting for Film, D&D: Dungeons and Drama, Tap and Musical Theatre Jazz.
Have a school day off coming up?
Studio East also has special Studio Days planned for November 11, including K Pop Demon Hunters for grades K through 5 and On Wednesdays We Wear Pink for grades 6 through 10.
A place to start. A place to grow.
A child's theatre experience might begin with one class or camp. From there, it can grow into auditions, productions, new skills, friendships and years of performing.
Cost doesn't have to keep your child from participating.
Studio East offers tuition assistance for families who need it, including assistance that can cover part or all of the cost. No financial documents are required.
Where will your child's story start?
A class? A camp? An audition? Sometimes all it takes is that first step through the door.
