Let's resolve to make 2017 the best year!

Do you have any resolutions for 2017?  I know I'm not any good with them, so I've decided to have "intentions."  After January, it's always so hard to keep up with resolutions because life happens and the initial new year's glow has worn off.  So with "intentions" I'm hoping that even when I fall off the bandwagon (because let's face it, 365 days is a long time), I'll get back on without any guilt that I didn't follow through!  So this year, my biggest intention is to have one truly mindful moment each day with my daughter and husband.  Last year flew by, and as much as I enjoyed being in the moment, I wasn't always mindful of it.  It really doesn't take much effort other than putting devices away to not being distracted even if for 15 minutes.

This is the first newsletter of 2017 and because being active tends to be a big part of new year's resolutions, I've put together a list of local gyms that provide onsite childcare.  As a mom without a babysitter or nanny, this is an AMAZING thing to know because now there's no excuse not to workout!  Speaking of no excuses, I interviewed a Monster Jam driver before the holidays and her story was inspiring and her main goal is to take Monster Jam by storm!  Have you entered our giveaway for 2 tickets to Mickey's BIG Celebration? Here's your chance and good luck! If you have a soon-to-be preschool-aged child, be sure to attend Preschool Night at Lake Washington Tech hosted by Lake Washington Toddler Group and Kirkland Co-operative Preschool on January 10th

And here is the full calendar of events for all of our families! I've also put together this awesome list of FREE events you need to register to attend.

That's all I have for you this week!  Stay warm and I'll see you around the Eastside!
