A Note from Your Publisher for the Eastside

By Katrina Cameron, Your Eastside Publisher August 25, 2016
Vacation never really feels like a vacation when you have kids, but somehow we are still having a difficult time adjusting back to real life.  This is all the more reason to continue adventuring this weekend for the National Park Service's Centennial celebrations.  Did you know there are 3 national parks in Washington State and all of them are less than 3 hours away from the Eastside?!  If you're itching to go a little further, check out the Oregon Coast -- it is Debbie Stone approved for families!

As we transition out of summer, here are some options of local events and activities...
Schedule a tour of Bellevue's newest preschool The Treehouse
Preview FIT4MOM's life- and body-changing program Body Back for FREE
Have your kiddo brush up on their reading skills by Reading with Rover
Welcome the Coder School at their GRAND OPENING -- giveaways, specials, & refreshments!
September is National Preparedness Month, so pencil in this event and get prepared!

I will be adding more events today and throughout the week, so be sure to check the calendar daily and follow us on Facebook!

Though the Olympics has come and gone, we are still in the spirit!  Read on about Olympian and mom Dana Vollmer (and be on the lookout in the near future for a related surprise event for the Eastside).  You can also host your own Olympic Summer Events with these fantastic playdate activities!

It's day one back in the PNW and we've been out and about all day, so we will definitely see you around the Eastside!
